Requirements

Training

  • State counseling license
  • Abuse-recovery and church-hurt training (16 hours)
  • Spiritual abuse awareness course

Classes

  • Healing from church hurt (4-week class)

Ministry service

  • Serve with the care team’s support groups for six months

Supervision

  • Clinical supervision for the first 50 sessions

Character and faith

  • Recommendation from two care team members

Safeguarding

  • Background check every year
  • Trauma-informed safeguarding policy signed
